Every experience makes us feel something when we pay attention to it and become aware of it. If everything brings you negative energy, chances are you’ll have trouble maintaining happiness and health.

1. Pay attention to your emotions

It would be ideal to learn how to let them go in order to maintain your own harmony.

To take control of your emotions, you must first understand them. Learn to breathe deeply and understand your feelings before expressing an opinion or judgment.

This little exercise gets oxygen into the body and fights fatigue. If you practice it regularly, you will bring harmony to your mind, body, and soul.

The best part is that your interpersonal relationships will also improve.

2. Love yourself to control emotional exhaustion

You can often see people who are negative about everything, critical of themselves because of how they look or because of what they supposedly lack. As a rule, they end up completely exhausted, not knowing how to be happy.

Your mind is always busy, looking for the reason for everything. However, it is necessary, first of all, to love yourself unconditionally.

If you’re having such a hard time accepting yourself because of the abuse or negative feedback you’ve received in the past, maybe you should try mental therapy. There are many different options and the results can be very unexpected.

3. Create bonds with yourself

Observe yourself and follow your thoughts and how those thoughts make you feel, or the actions that trigger those emotions. When you pay attention to yourself, you become aware of your character traits and strengths:

  • Discover or remember something that interests you and makes you wake up in the morning.
  • It will let you know what you still need to do to grow, move forward and achieve your goals, letting go of worry, fear, and self-doubt.

If you’re still doing things simply because others expect you to, it may be time to take a hard look at your friendships and eliminate those that aren’t helping you.

Remember that you are the center of your life and the only person you need to be happy.

4. Be grateful

One of the main causes of emotional exhaustion is constantly complaining about what you don’t have, what you wish you had, or what you do have but don’t like.

If you want to regain your energy, replace complaining with gratitude. While this may sound like cheap philosophy, the reality is that changing your perspective affects your emotions.

Even if your life seems bad, there is always something good to be found.

When was the last time you told your partner that you appreciate him and be grateful for it? Have your parents heard a thank you from you lately? These actions may seem small, but they are very important.

5. Find a goal

Thinking about the past or past failures is exhausting and robs you of happiness. Instead, look for goals and focus your energy on them. Just make sure the goal is something positive.

You need to work hard to discover your talents and develop those that lead you to your desired goal. You may feel fear, insecurity, and confusion, and if you can overcome them, you will achieve happiness.

6. Forget about trying to control everything

One of the biggest problems is that emotional exhaustion can come back at any time, even if you let go of the critical attitude or find a goal. This often happens with people who feel the need to always be in control, every minute of every day.

Unfortunately, you can never control life. When you understand this and learn to let go, you will feel much happier.

An alternative to combating mental fatigue while maintaining the need for control is assistance.

If there is a situation that is causing major problems, create an action plan to counter it.
